“I’ve guided out of rafts and several other drift boats.  I bought a Flow Skiff on a whim based on the interior layout two years ago.  All I can say is WOW!  The layout rocks as I expected.  I’ve always had clients find some aspects of my boats not up to snuff, seats not comfortable, not enough room in the back, can’t fish sitting down because of the bow, etc.  Not a word since I got the Flow.  This is the first boat I’ve not minded fishing out of the back in.  Everything is awesome.  So roomy.  What I didn’t expect was how shallow this boat would float.  It’s a fairly big boat, but the wide footprint lets me get through super shallow riffles to the hardest to reach trout.  They also come with the best drift boat trailer on the market. The third roller will blow your mind.”

Who got you into fishing and how long have you been fishing?

My dad introduced me to fly fishing 17 years ago in the mountains of NC, and after college I moved to Wyoming to learn from the crew at ORVIS Jackson Hole and World Cast Anglers. I’ve been lucky to fish with some really fishy people during my journey and I make it a point to learn as much as I can from all of them.        

Where is your 4th favorite place to fish? (we definitely know you’re not giving up your top 3)

My favorite place to fly fish is the Snake River in Grand Teton National Park. That section of the river is one of a kind.  If you go, go in September.  It’s dry fly heaven.

If you could take any one person fishing, who would it be?

If I could take one person fly fishing it would be Luke Kuechly. I’ve heard he is a big fly angler and I’m the biggest Panther fan in the fly fishing industry.

What haven’t you accomplished that you still aspire to do in your lifetime?

I don’t know if I have life accomplishments lined up, but my wife and I just had a little girl and I can’t wait to teach her to fly fish.

What would be your day job if you weren’t currently doing what you’re doing?
